Precision with Hand Tools

Successful furniture making relies on a myriad of hand tool skills In this hand’s-on workshop, furniture maker Mike Korsak will discuss the ways he relies on hand tools for precision and accuracy in his work. Over the course of two days, Mike will discuss and demonstrate the tools and methods he relies on for flattening wide boards, edge jointing, working end grain, shaping curves, fitting joinery and preparing surfaces for finish.

This workshop is geared toward woodworkers who wish to improve and build upon existing hand tool skills. The focus of the workshop will be on using hand tools, so please bring hand tools that are already in good working order as hand tool restoration is outside the scope of this workshop.
