In establishing your own woodshop, you will have a significant investment in power machinery. These are simple tools that have pulleys, belts, arbors, bearings and more in common. This course is designed to give you the confidence and skill to setup, maintain, tune, adjust, troubleshoot and safely use the most common machines. Safety begins with a sharp, tuned and well adjusted tool. By the completion of the day, students will also have a better understanding of condition and quality when purchasing used equipment.
This is a hands on class with students working in teams of two at each machine. (yes we have 4 of each) Time permitting Mike will demonstrate changing switches and brushes on portable power tools.
Specific topics will include:
- Bandsaw

- Thickness Planer

- Power Mitre Saw
